During the 2 years prior to certification, the company suffered significantly reduced annual sales and operating losses due to increasing foreign competition, primarily from China. As a direct result, annual sales decreased 8%, employment decreased 10% and incurred operating losses during this period.
The company, with assistance from the University of Southern California’s Western Trade Adjustment Assistance Center (Western TAAC) became certified as trade impacted by the US Dept. of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA) in July of 2006.
The strategy focuses on providing the highest quality products for the Carrier Grade and Service Provider markets.
