Handheld Point-of-Care Diagnostic Sensors

We are developing inexpensive, portable multi-modality sensors which can perform sensitive and specific biodetection at the Point-of-Care. These portable sensors are meant to be cheap and resilient enough to be deployed in everyone’s home or in the field and should be capable of performing detection only using small amounts of biological sample, such as a saliva sample. To this extent, we have been developing magnetic biosensors capable of using magnetic labels to tag and sense many different types of biomolecules, including DNA, RNA, proteins, and cells:

We are interested in designing ultra energy-efficient wearable and implantable sensors that achieve great specificity using multi-modal detection by holistic design of the underlying circuits, sensor devices, and electromagnetics.
