Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accountability Group

Purpose: The purpose of the Inclusion, Diversity and Equity Accountability (IDEA) Group is to provide a brave space where members of the Division can continue developing as allies/advocates through ongoing monthly discussions.  We recognize that professional development and personal growth in the area of EDI is never finished and must be sustained in perpetuity. Through open discussion and focused topics on dominant cultural norms, we engage and support our Division in these efforts.

Facilitators: Kate Havens, Libby Krause

DEI Book Club

Purpose: The DEI Book Club values the humanities and the arts & believes they teach us about the human experience and was created to encourage and support faculty, staff, alums, and the greater USC community who are interested in improving and expanding their understanding of issues related to race, institutional racism, and inequities in society through reading and discussion. Engaging in reading and thoughtful discussion equips us with the language and context to confront racism in our friends, families, coworkers, and ourselves. Our intention is to bolster the antiracist work of the Division by empowering our community to take action and create a more culturally responsive and inclusive environment.
