Welcome to the Dynamic Robotics and Control Lab @USC!
Our research focuses on developing novel control algorithms for achieving extremely agile and robust locomotion on dynamic robotic systems. Our approach lies at the intersection of nonlinear control, trajectory optimization, and machine learning.
We are constantly looking for self-motivated, enthusiastic students with interests and backgrounds that are well aligned with our research.
Following are potential research topics:
- Control, optimization, and learning for quadruped robots
- Design and control of a dynamic wheel-legged robot
- Collision avoidance and planning for mobile robots
If you are an existing undergrad or MS student at USC and interested in joining our lab as research volunteers, please contact Dr. Nguyen with your CV, transcript, and a brief statement that highlights your interests, background, and skills related to our research.
If you are interested in pursuing a Ph.D. in our lab, I encourage you to submit your graduate application to AME USC and mention my name in your application. Please refer to this link for the application process.
