The PAL was founded in 1986 by Prof. Ari Requicha. It merged in 2003 with the Laboratory for Molecular Robotics. A separate web page is kept to make some of the lab’s publications available online. The lab conducted research on Computational Geometry, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, with emphasis on their applications in intelligent systems for electromechanical design and manufacturing.
