About

About the Southern California Evidence Review Center

The Southern California Evidence Review Center synthesizes scientific literature for a variety of federal funding agencies and professional organizations. Products include systematic reviews, evidence maps, scoping reviews, landscape reviews, rapid reviews, meta-analyses, and topic briefs. We summarize medical, psychological, behavioral, and organizational research and evaluate methodological approaches to advance evidence synthesis methods.

Our team of literature review specialists collaborates with a large number of clinicians and topic experts at the University of Southern California (USC), RAND, the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), and the VA Greater Los Angeles.

The center is endorsed by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) as one of 9 Evidence-based Practice Centers (EPCs). EPCs produce evidence reports on medications, devices, and other health care services for AHRQ’s Effective Health Care Program with the goal of helping consumers, health care professionals, and policymakers make informed and evidence-based health care decisions.
