Building the classical electronics control system for an error corrected quantum computer with one million qubits is going to be a massive challenge. Today our 54 qubit architecture requires one ~6 GHz microwave pulse generator per qubit (plus another pulse generator for every 6 qubits for readout) in addition to ~three 1 GS/sec arbitrary waveform generator channels to set the qubit and coupler frequencies. Scaling this to 1.2 million microwave pulse generators and 3 million AWG channels is going to be tricky!
