Postdoctoral positions at the Center for Theoretical Physics at MIT

We are hoping to make one or more postdoctoral appointments to begin September 1 2022, at the Center for Theoretical Physics at MIT, as advertised at https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/MIT/CTP. If you have students or junior colleagues who might be interested in these positions, please let them know of the opportunity and encourage them to apply. For full consideration, applications should be received by 11.59pm US Eastern time on November 15, 2021.

We have three searches within the following broad areas:

https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/19451: the theory of Quantum Information Science / Quantum Computing;

https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/19452: nuclear theory, with emphases that include lattice gauge theory, chiral perturbation theory, hadron structure, factorization, effective theories, heavy quark physics, jet physics, quark-gluon plasma in QCD and other gauge theories, connections to string theory, and QCD at high density;

https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/19453: all areas of particle physics, phenomenology, cosmology, astroparticle physics, quantum field theory, quantum information, quantum gravity, string theory, and research connecting high energy physics, condensed matter physics, mathematics, and other related areas.

Candidates whose research aligns with more than one of these areas, or who are unsure if their research fits the description for a given position, are encouraged to apply for all CTP positions that may be relevant to them. The CTP seeks a broad and diverse applicant pool, and welcomes applications from candidates at the intersections of (sub)fields.
