Rachel Suba

Director of Sports Nutrition

Rachel Suba , RD, CSSD is Director of Sports Nutrition. A former competitive gymnast and current powerlifter, the Cleveland, Ohio, native puts her background in culinary arts to use in keeping USC student-athletes fueled for success. Each day, Suba and her staff aim to leave an impact that stretches beyond the playing field.

Before USC, Suba spent 6.5 years (2016-2022) at The University of Oklahoma where she held 3 positions: Graduate Assistant Sports Dietitian (1 year), Assistant Director (3 years) and Director (2.5 years). Suba was part of 23 conference titles (5 football, 5 men’s gymnastics, 1 wrestling, 2 men’s golf, 5 women’s gymnastics, and 5 softball) and 12 national championships (4 women’s gymnastics, 4 softball, 3 men’s gymnastics, and 1 men’s golf) She received her bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from the University of Akron in 2015 where she also interned with the athletic department for two years. She also received her master’s degree in Adult and Higher Education with an emphasis in Collegiate Athletics from The University of Oklahoma in 2018.

Suba is credentialed as a Registered Dietitian (RD), a Board-Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD), and Licensed Dietitian (LD); and is an active member of the Collegiate & Professional Sports Dietitians Association (CPSDA) as well as the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).
