Athletic Trainer. Sport Responsibilities: Swim/Dive
Emma Connelly joined the USC Athletic Training staff in January 2023, where she oversees the medical care for the men’s and women’s swim and dive team.
Prior to USC, Connelly worked as an assistant Athletic Trainer at UC Santa Barbara from 2019-2022 and helped start the sports medicine department at Westcliff University in 2019. While at UCSB, she worked closely with their women’s basketball and men’s and women’s swim team. She also had the opportunity to work a full seasons of women’s volleyball and softball. She was also the education coordinator and mentored students who wanted to pursue a profession within sports medicine.
Connelly attended the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa for her bachelor’s and masters and primarily worked football, women’s basketball, and baseball. She also spent 4 years in the swim biomechanics lab which kickstarted her love for swim.
Connelly is a Southern California native and in her free time enjoys being outdoors and exploring and new restaurants.
