Learning Modules for Students

CARE-SC provides required live session Prevention Education Modules (PEMs) that is a three-tiered curriculum aimed at reducing campus sexual violence, creating a culture of consent and support for survivors, and increasing the likelihood of upstander intervention. If you need any accommodations or have additional questions about completing this module, please email studenthealth@usc.edu. 

The following three modules are part of the “Consent and Healthy Relationships” series for first, second, and third year undergraduates.

CHR Year 1: 
Consent

Trojans Respect Consent, a program of USC Student Health, requires all incoming Year 1 students (first-year and first-time transfer) undergraduate students to participate in a module on affirmative consent. The module centers on practicing how to engage in conversations about sexual activity with other students. 

Module times are available for registration through trojanlearn.usc.edu (beginning on the first day of classes of the semester).

CHR Year 2: 
Healthy Relationships

Healthy Relationships is a required module for Year 2 undergraduate students at USC. The module focuses on setting personal boundaries, expectations, and communicating in relationships.

CHR Year 3: 
Upstander Behaviors

Trojans Act Now! empowers Year 3 students to intervene when they witness a situation that may lead to gender- and power-based harm including sexual harassment, stalking, dating violence, and sexual assault. Students will gain skills to identify potentially risky situations, safely intervene, and help create an inclusive and respectful campus community.
