Beginning August 1, 2024, the confidential advocate, prevention education, and survivor services unit of USC Student Health will be using a new name: CARE-Support Center (or CARE-SC, for short) of USC Student Health.
CARE-Support Center office of USC Student Health (formerly known as Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention and Services) is an acronym for Confidential Advocacy, Resources, and Education – Support Center.
The updated name better incorporates the broad prevention and campus resource and education aspects of the unit’s work, while keeping the signature program for survivors — the confidential advocates — front and center for for visibility and recall for students.
Confidential advocates are available 24/7 for students who have questions about power dynamics in intimate relationships; need confidential support, navigation, and campus accommodations after having experienced sexual assault (including testing, counseling, and reporting options); are experiencing stalking, sextortion, or other gender-based harm or exploitation.
Call 213-740-9355 (WELL) for 24/7 assistance, or send a secure message through MySHR to contact a confidential advocate.
