Leroy Mitchell II (he/him/his) is originally from Lubbock, Texas. Leroy has a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Texas Tech University and a master’s degree in Higher Education with a Diversity and Social Justice concentration from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
Leroy has extensive experience in working with traditionally marginalized communities–particularly young men and masculine people of color– to support their education, career, identity development, and mental health. Leveraging his work as a college counselor and his personal experiences as a former college athlete, Leroy holds spaces for communal connection where people may develop ideals of self and masculinity aligned with what brings them joy and liberation.
