Our Work

The USC GRIT Lab is a research collaborative focused on carrying out community-based public health research and service activities in low- and middle-income countries. Our work is divided between:

  1. Public health program implementation and evaluation, including the development of community-based interventions and public health curriculum.
  2.  Implementation Science Research, including a range of studies focused on adolescent health, mental health, malaria, COVID-19, risky behaviors, environmental health, tobacco control, and drowning prevention.
  3. Public Outreach and Awareness Raising, including partnering with community-based organizations to facilitate impactful public events and ensuring our research is disseminated to relevant stakeholders at the local, national and international level.
