World Malaria Day 2021
On World Malaria Day, April 25, 2021, GRIT partnered with Ray United FC, Children’s Chance International, and US Peace Corps to deliver over 3,000 bed nets to households with pregnant mothers and small children throughout the district of Lira, Northern Uganda. GRIT investigators took the lead in developing a short household survey on bed net access and usage that was administered by the partnership’s field staff. GRIT also prepared a short training on malaria and survey data collection that was delivered to Youth Public Health Ambassadors, who then assisted with the data collection and awareness raising activities carried out during the event.
