Artist & Researcher
The Artist and Researcher exhibit series highlights the parallel processes of scientific curiosity and artistic inquiry with the aim of making complex research more understandable to the general viewing public. Each artist learns about the work of his or her researcher through dialogue and/or lab visits, and creates a visual language to make the science more accessible.

The Hoyt Gallery is once again producing an innovative and collaborative art show in the spring of 2024 pairing KSOM researchers with students in the Special Projects in Design class at the USC Roski School of Art. Your research plus an artistic interpretation of your work will be exhibited side by side in the Hoyt Gallery. We have spots for 20 researchers willing to meet with and explain your research to an artist who is eager to learn about and visualize your work. The artists seek to understand your research, and imagine it in new and innovative ways. We welcome both returning researchers and first-timers for this project.
