Melanie Galano
About me:
Hello, I’m Melanie Galano and I am currently a 5th year PhD candidate in Molecular Pharmacology and Toxicology and a Master’s student in Regulatory Science at the USC School of Pharmacy. I previously received my bachelor’s degree at UCSD with a major in Biochemistry and a minor in Global Health, which emphasized health disparities and social determinants of health. As a female and a Filipina, I hope that our DEI initiatives empower others to promote diversity in science and healthcare. When I am not in the lab doing research, I like to read memoirs, to go biking or for a run, and to try new food with my family and friends.
