Sarah McGrew is a licensed clinical social worker and received her MS degree from Hunter College in New York. Sarah earned her BA in psychology and minored in theater arts at UC Santa Cruz.

Sarah is passionate about providing trauma informed care to survivors of abuse and intimate partner violence. Sarah has a background in working with gender expansive youth and providing gender affirming mental health care. She is certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which is an integrative trauma treatment that utilizes a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy and relaxation techniques that bring emotional memories to surface which are then processed in a safe way. Sarah draws from several modalities when working with clients such as the trauma resiliency model, trauma sensitive yoga and breathwork.

Sarah is originally from the east coast and spent half of her childhood growing up in Africa and the Middle East. Sarah enjoys cooking, yoga, dancing around the house with her husband and two sons and taking in the beautiful sights of southern California.
