Social Worker Trainee
Claire McGinnis is a second-year MSW trainee at the University of Southern California with a focus on clinical practice. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Kenyon College, she took a post-baccalaureate position as a research coordinator at Washington University School of Medicine where she narrowed her clinical focus to the treatment and prevention of eating disorders.
Claire’s therapeutic style is largely informed by cognitive behavioral therapy and she takes a person-centered, collaborative approach with clients. Her professional interests are eating and body image concerns, as well as common comorbidities such as anxiety, depression, OCD, and ADHD.
