Althea Rowe, LMFT, JD, received her MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Oaks College. She earned her Juris Doctorate degree from The George Washington University. Her clinical interests include anxiety, depression, cultural integration, social skill development, relationship challenges, and personality disorders; her preferred modalities include Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma-Informed Care (TIC), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – with specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Narrative Therapy (NT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

She would tell her college self to: “Learn the skill of being present. Each moment is a gift that deserves your full attention, so worrying about yesterday’s and tomorrow’s problems will only rob you of the power you can apply to your here and now!”
