Kate Bryan, NP

Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and the Behavioral Sciences (Practitioner) (Part-Time)

Kate Bryan, MPH, MSN, PMHNP-BC, holds a master of public health degree from USC and a master of science in nursing degree from Charles R. Drew University, where she specialized in psychiatric and mental health advance practice nursing. She earned her undergraduate degree in speech-language pathology from St. John’s University and earned an additional bachelor’s degree in nursing from Wagner College.

Kate is currently the RN case manager for the multidisciplinary eating and body image concerns committee and psychiatry team. She has previously worked in pediatric emergency medicine, pediatric intensive care unit, and primary care settings. She has worked locally for Los Angeles County, and also has worked in global health environments in Haiti; Gaza and the West Bank; Colombia; Ecuador, Uganda, and Bangladesh.

Kate is passionate about providing opportunities and safe spaces for communities to heal from trauma and empowering youth and young adults through challenging life experiences. She continues to utilize her array of skills to promote a culture of peace and understanding through nursing care.
