Milena Lukic has an MS degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and PPS credentials in School Counseling. For the past eight years, Milena has been providing therapy for trauma survivors and co-facilitating support groups for survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence.

She is certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which is an integrative trauma treatment that utilizes a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and relaxation techniques that bring emotional memories to surface which are then processed in a safe way. She is also certified in R-TEP/G-TEP (The Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol/Group Traumatic Episode Protocol), which is a comprehensive approach to early EMDR interventions. She speaks regularly at state and national conferences on trauma-informed issues.

Milena recently became a certified trainer in Community Resiliency Model (CRM) by the Trauma Resource Institute. CRM is a skill-based approach for the regulation of the nervous system. She is currently curious and learning a lot about Narrative Therapy. Milena is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. She is married and has two children and a cat. She loves bread, cheese, and chocolate. Her pronouns are she, her, hers.
